AJP Electrical Wholesalers was founded by Angus Pedrick in 2012. Angus has bought and sold flashing novelty toys (including on the streets at carnivals!) since he was in his teens. The Company was founded because many of the products he was sold were very poor quality and didn’t work !
We only trade on a business to business basis, we do not sell to consumers.
If the product doesn’t work you can’t sell it and this is why all the products now come from factories that have been fully accredited and tested, so his ambition of providing a great range of quality flashing novelty toys, at a fair price, but with exceptional service, is proving to be very popular.
Do be careful, you don’t JUST buy on price, we speak from experience, it can be a very expensive mistake.

Welcome to AJP Electrical Limited – distributor, wholesaler and direct importer of flashing novelties, light up wands, flashing windmills, glow in the dark products, novelty goods, fundraising prizes, PTA supplies and prize every time items.
Our Flashing Novelties are battery operated, these popular items are often seen at fundraising events, PTA events, bonfire nights, firework evenings, concerts, performances, theme parks, holiday parks to name just a few !
They have been around for many years and each year seem to become more advanced and impressive, with new concepts and ideas constantly being brought out every year. They are a great way of making money fast and keep the children (and adults) entertained. Flashing Novelties have also been said to be very good for children with Autism with their bright colours, flashing modes and movement.
Flashing Novelties are usually associated with Autumn, and no Bonfire Night, Illuminated Carnival or Firework Display is complete without these items, the bright flashing coloured toys light up the dark winter evenings and provide hours of entertainment for all those who purchase them.
They are often held up high in the crowds as way of cheering or showing there’s a celebration, they are a more modern version of glow sticks and glow necklaces, only unlike glow products these items can be turned on and off and can be used time and time again and once the batteries run out they can usually be replaced and reused again.
Flashing Novelties form a huge part of Illuminated Winter Carnivals across the UK, and can usually be found at the world famous Bridgwater Carnival which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year and is usually held every November, amongst may other well known Carnivals, festivals and firework events.
Our Flashing Novelties are EN71 tested and CE marked, there are lots of products on the market that don’t meet the required standard, so always check your product meets EN71 and is CE Marked.
All our products carry the CE Mark, and also carry small part choking hazard warning signs and advise if not suitable for small children. There are plenty of “cheap” Flashing Novelties out there that aren’t up to the required standard, if trading standards see these products they will seize them and you won’t get them back, so please be warned if it seems to good to be true, that’s probably because it is. Our prices are extremely competitive and we pride ourselves in offering quality flashing novelties unlike lots of our competitors who don’t use factories that have been accredited and tested.
All our products include VAT and batteries, and can be send out via courier for a small additional cost per box. We are VAT registered and we trade as a Limited Company.
Goods can be collected from our Gloucestershire based showroom by appointment, so if you’re thinking of selling these items come and have a look and see for yourself the money you can make out of selling flashing novelties, in many cases you can make a return of 3–4 times of your investment, when buying from AJP Electrical Distributors Limited.
